On May 8, 2025, the ceremony for the shipment of the first batch of liquid carbon dioxide storage tanks for the HuanDian Mulei 1 million kilowatt carbon dioxide compressed air energy storage demonstration project was successfully held at Lu’an Huaji’s Xinjiang branch. The first batch of liquid tank equipment shipped this time will be used in the world’s largest CO2 energy storage facility. It represents another significant achievement for Lu’an Huaji in the field of energy storage, following its success with the Huai’an salt cavern air energy storage project; it further underscores Lu’an Huaji’s outstanding capabilities in the research, development, and manufacturing of energy storage equipment. The carbon dioxide storage tank is the physical container for energy storage and release in the system; it is also a key device that enables efficient conversion between electricity, heat, and work, ensures system safety, and facilitates the transition to low-carbon energy sources. Under the **\"dual carbon\" strategy, numerous chemical projects worth trillions of yuan, such as those for coal-to-gas, coal-to-oil, and coal-to-olefins, have been established in Xinjiang one after another.
