When arranging the bottom plates of storage tanks, the middle plates are overlapped with each other. As you can see from the diagram I’ve prepared, the overlap at point A follows the method specified in GB50128 for the overlapping of three layers of bottom plates. However, at point B it is not possible to use the lap joint as specified in GB50128 (because the fold interferes with the plate above). How is this usually handled? Or simply turn B upside down, so as not to interfere. But it seems difficult to construct this way. I would appreciate some advice from the experts here.
First, fix the center plate, and then lay it out from the center plate outward
I think there is only one possibility: all the short seams on the bottom plate of the storage tank should be butted together, while the long seams should be overlapped. According to the specifications, the short seams are welded first, which means that the medium-width plates become individual strips; then, using the middle strip as a reference, the medium-width plates on both sides are continuously overlapped

Except for the junctions where the edge panels meet the cylinders, which are designed to be butted together, all other connections are of the lap type; this is how construction is carried out, and no problems have been observed.
