Our unit intends to obtain a design certificate for Class A pressure vessels (Classes A1, A2, A3, A4). What documents are required specifically? Is there a detailed list? Especially regarding the qualifications of the personnel and the defense process, thank you
1. Once the certification is obtained by the unit, first of all, the personnel must meet the required criteria. If reviewers from the Rongbiao Commission system are hired, those who hold Rongbiao Commission approval certificates of type A1, A2, or A3 can be exempt from taking exams; all other designers must take written exams on site. 2. The preliminary design documents required by our organization specify the use of A3 spherical tanks, A1 reaction vessels (with D≥2000), A1 storage vessels, A2 columns, and A2 heat exchangers. 3. On-site defense: an on-site defense will be held for each design proposal. Generally, the teacher will ask two or three questions for each draft design document. If there are no issues with the drawing, ask questions related to the knowledge points of the drawing.

Can one of the two reviewers also serve as the technical supervisor and approver? 3. What aspects are generally included in the content of on-site open-book exams?
The design documents require approval at four levels, and the technical supervisor cannot serve both as the reviewer and the approver. There are several types of reaction vessels; some are simply empty tank reactors. You need to know how much to use of such vessels when designing – they are called reactors, but in reality they are just containers. The questions aren’t difficult; they’re all things that need to be mastered basically. I didn’t take the exam; I have an approval certificate. I need the blueprint; this one is subject to an unannounced inspection.

Do the design and review personnel identified by the organization need to undergo training and assessment by a third party, with a certification of completion issued? 2. Are training records required for staff training? What are the common types of supplementary materials?
Design seems not required, but approval is necessary (it must be available on the website of the Competence Assessment Committee; certificates A1 and A3 are required)
