In equipment drawings, English abbreviations such as T.L. and W.L. are often used to denote length. What does it all mean? ? Request the universal form!
T.L. — Tangent Line (tangent line) W.L. — Welding Line (weld seam)

Most are foreign diagrams; they represent the markings on either side of the straight edge of a container head. T.L. refers to the point where the curved surface meets the straight edge, while W.L. denotes the welding point between the straight edge of the head and other components. On domestic drawings, T.L. is indicated with a center line and W.L. with a solid line; generally, those labels of T.L. and W.L. are not written, which makes the drawing look neater.
