As the title suggests, the connections for jacketed vessels require flange-type convex flanges. What is the difference between these and plate-type butt flanges? Flange-type convex flanges cannot be found in the standards; does it mean that a regular convex flange will suffice? I hope an expert can offer some guidance; thank you.
The client requested a flange with a convex surface at the B1 exit below the drawings; I’m not sure why this was chosen – what is its purpose?

The lower flange is connected to a swing-out or downward-opening discharge valve; the connection dimensions must be checked in the corresponding discharge valve specifications. The pressure inside the furnace is not high; calculations for hole reinforcement using GB/T150 are sufficient

The bolt holes in the flange are threaded holes (similar to the tie rod holes in a tube sheet), while the bolt holes in the face plate are unthreaded holes (through holes); all other dimensions match those of the connected flange or valve.
The bolt holes in the flange are threaded and not through-holes. The bolt holes of the flat welding flange are smooth holes and through-holes. The other dimensions of the flange are consistent with those of the connected flange or valve.
