The client is a laboratory; the vertical containers need to pass through different floors, and they are connected to the wall anchors at their middle section. As shown in the figure, a rigid connection using welding is employed, but it is now a concern that over time, thermal expansion and contraction may cause leakage at the connection points. The installation plan needs to be reconsidered. A soft connection is used. What I would like to ask is whether there are any standards in place in China for this type of connection method. Leaks on the upper and lower floors. Due to the welded rigid connections, over time issues such as foundation settlement may occur, and since the steel plates are constantly subject to thermal expansion and contraction, this can lead to deformation of the plates as well as welding failures
Actually, it’s sufficient to design the container as an ear-shaped support supported by the middle floor; there’s no need to weld it to the middle floor at all. Just make the openings larger and enclose them with partitions – of course, the partitions can be designed as conical tubes to ensure that the gaps remain small.
Is there a test? ? Just go by intuition and do a seep test
Using hard connections for devices and frames........ Which company would agree to that? Isn’t using ear-type supports quite conventional?

You might not understand what I mean. The rigid connection shown in the diagram is merely a decorative panel, intended to provide complete isolation and sealing between the upper and lower parts, preventing any leakage of air or liquid. It is only welded to the middle section of the device.
