Can the material of hydrogen-service pipeline 347 be directly welded to material 321?

As the title suggests, regarding the inlet and outlet pipes of the hydrogenation reactor – is the welding of pipes made from 347 and 321 materials considered to be welding of different steel types, as is commonly understood? Are there any existing regulations that specify whether these two materials can be welded directly?

Thank you. I checked some standards, and according to those standards welding is allowed. However, the project manager said that welding is not permissible in environments with hydrogen-rich media. I can’t find any evidence to counter this claim; the project manager says that according to the standards, carbon steel and stainless steel can also be welded
