The thickness of the product welding test plate is 12 mm, made of Q345R material. The welding method employed is manual welding on the inner side followed by automatic welding on the outer side. For impact tests, is it necessary to conduct one set of impact tests using manual welding and another set using automatic welding, or is just one set of impact tests sufficient for this welding test plate? Every welding method has to be tested under impact.
Take a look at the provisions in clause 3.9 of NB/T47016
They should be done separately, as the welding methods differ, the welding materials vary, and the process parameters change
It seems to say that thickness can cover it, but it doesn’t mention that welding methods can also do so.
The standards are clear: a set must be made for each item; there’s no such thing as saving money on this
I mean, the savings in this area are just small amounts of money
