The instrument requires holes to be made in the cover of the light-transmitting aperture; is it necessary to conduct a strength calculation? It is still sufficient to simply make holes for reinforcement based on the size of the openings in a pressure-rated container. Thank you
At normal pressure, it’s fine if the pores aren’t very large; it won’t do at all if they are, just my personal opinion
It is best to weld the leads and install valves; next, weld a cover with the same wall thickness and material, ensuring its height is at least equal to the wall thickness, and then drill and tap holes.
