Everyone, why can’t the gasket sealing surface be used in negative pressure?

There is less contact with the liner; I heard today that it cannot be used in negative pressure conditions. Where did that information come from?
This post was last edited by wanlirn on 2022-6-23 08:44. There is no such restriction for gasket flanges;; shells using removable gaskets cannot be used in negative pressure environments. The technical details are so complicated that they drive one crazy – after all, shells with removable gaskets are quite thin, and they will collapse under negative pressure; of course they can’t be used in such conditions. As for the flange surface, it’s held in place by bolts, so what’s the problem?
