The operating pressure of the tower equipment should be determined based on the internal design pressure of the tower bottom; this design pressure needs to be established in accordance with the process requirements and operating conditions. To determine whether a tower equipment is a pressure vessel, it is necessary to consider parameters such as the design pressure and volume of the tower bottom and tower top. Only when it meets the corresponding definitions in the standards **\"Steel Pressure Vessels\" (GB150)** or **\"Plastic Pressure Vessels\" (JB/T4738)** can it be classified as a pressure vessel. The tower top pressure is merely a reference value during operation and maintenance, and cannot be used as a basis for equipment design. .
According to TSG 21, the working pressure refers to the pressure at the top of the vessel. However, during design, the pressure used to calculate the wall thickness of the container should take into account the pressure at the bottom of the tower; segmented design is also possible.
