For projects abroad, the standard used is ASME. When manufacturing reducer fittings (tapered shells), ASME standard UG-80 only specifies requirements regarding roundness; what about length and other dimensions? It is not mentioned either in the project requirements. So do I need to create a separate part diagram to establish a standard for the machining tolerance of the large and small ends?
