With a length of 77 meters, a diameter of 6 meters, and a maximum wall thickness of 310 millimeters, this unit weighs over 2,100 tons. It represents another breakthrough by the company in the manufacturing of heavy-duty equipment with large diameters and high weights, following its successful production of thousand-ton-class forged and welded hydrogenation reactors for Yatong Petrochemical and Haoye Chemical. As China’s first domestically produced fluidized-bed hydrogenation reactor, it is large in size, heavy in weight, and exceeds size limits, making its manufacture quite challenging. Lanshi Heavy Equipment, together with the owner and the design institute, conducted repeated discussions and analyses regarding the process measures for 310-mm ultra-thick narrow-gap submerged arc welding, the overall heat treatment technology for the seam of large-scale containers during on-site assembly, the hydrostatic testing of heavy equipment, as well as methods for lifting and transporting such equipment; a implementation plan was ultimately established. Production was organized through a combination of segmented manufacturing in the factory and on-site assembly.
