Article 6.1.6 of GB/T150-2024 states: “...the joints thereof do not require weld replacement.” If it is thermoforming but trial plates are not allowed, in the case of weld replacement, does it require two X-ray examinations – one before the weld replacement and one after – or is just one examination sufficient, taken after the weld replacement?
If replacement is needed, then aren’t the previous welds and the X-rays taken pointless?； The last X-ray was taken as preparation.
According to the provisions of GB/T 150.4, under normal circumstances, an X-ray inspection should be carried out after weld replacement to verify the welding quality. If the specifications or project requirements dictate inspections also before weld replacement, two radiographs are taken; however, usually only one is taken after replacement to verify the integrity and quality of the weld. For specific operations, it is necessary to refer to the relevant engineering technical requirements or consult the quality inspection department. .

I mean, if no X-rays are taken, how can we know whether a replacement was done or not?
X-rays must be taken after replacement; the welds before replacement are created for shaping purposes, and whether to take X-rays is decided based on the welding quality of the factory itself.
