Explanation of terms related to the nominal volume of large storage tanks

Hello everyone: There are some terms that are quite common, but it’s difficult to find their origins. Regarding the \"nominal volume\" of large storage tanks, I searched through various common tank design standards as well as regulations related to oil depots and fire safety, yet no definition could be found. The term “nominal volume” is indeed frequently mentioned in the provisions. Has anyone found the relevant standard definitions? Below are the definitions I found in \"The Complete Book of Chemical Equipment Design: Spherical Vessels and Large Storage Tanks\" as well as those on the Sinopec website; it seems that there are still discrepancies between the two.
I also only found explanations in the \"Comprehensive Book on Chemical Equipment Design: Spheres and Large Storage Tanks\"
It is also described in Appendix A of Teacher Li Shiyu’s \"Training Manual for Pressure Vessel Design Engineers – Vessel Construction Techniques\"
I just took a look, and it’s the same as the definition in \"The Complete Book of Chemical Equipment Design: Spherical Vessels and Large Storage Tanks\". However, indeed no standard specifications define it, so the definition in books is not that restrictive.
