Recently, these towers, developed by Dalian Heavy Industry Equipment Group, were successfully inspected at the Dalian Jinzhong High-End Petrochemical Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing Base before being shipped by sea to the customer’s site. The successful shipment of this core tower equipment marks a significant breakthrough in China’s efforts to develop domestically produced core pressure vessels for large-scale LAO facilities. It breaks the long-standing monopoly held by imported equipment, contributing significantly to the advancement of self-reliance in high-end equipment within China’s petrochemical industry. As a key raw material for producing high-end polyolefins, lubricant base oils, and new energy materials, the manufacturing level of the core equipment used in LAO production directly determines the purity of the raw materials as well as the safety of plant operation. It represents a critical factor in the transformation of the petrochemical industry toward higher quality and greater precision in its operations. This project involves 6 core high-pressure thick-walled pressure vessels, including reactors and towers. The product structure is complex, making manufacturing extremely difficult; three of the reactors have a diameter of 2.4 meters and a cylinder wall thickness of 122 millimeters, and they must withstand long-term high-pressure conditions ; The diameter of the high-purity C4 product tower and the high-purity C6 product tower is 2 meters, with a total length of over 70 meters ; The BDL scrubber tower has a diameter of 2.9 meters, a cylinder thickness of 142 millimeters, and a total length of 17 meters. These specifications not only exceed the limits of traditional domestic manufacturing techniques but also reach the advanced level of similar equipment worldwide. From the perspective of customer needs, the value of this set of high-end equipment addresses key pain points: first, it ensures supply chain security and control, eliminating the \"passive reliance\" on imported equipment in terms of technical licensing, spare parts supply, and repair services, thereby avoiding the impact of fluctuations in international supply chains on facility construction and production ; Secondly, there are advantages in terms of project efficiency and costs; compared to imported equipment, independent technological advancements enable the reduction of the manufacturing cycle and lower overall costs, thereby helping to accelerate the commissioning of the CNOOC Shell LAO project and enabling earlier realization of benefits ; Third is long-term operation support: the equipment utilizes an innovative welding technique of \"narrow-gap submerged arc welding + intelligent temperature control for stress relief,\" which ensures a 100% first-pass qualification rate for the welded joints. This enables the device to operate stably under high-pressure, continuous operation conditions, thereby significantly reducing subsequent maintenance costs.
