On March 31, news came from the construction site of the 1 million tons per year project for processing waste oils into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) carried out by Shaanxi Huajian Company for Henan Junheng Industry – the company’s lifting team used a 3,200-ton crawler crane to lift the core equipment, namely the pretreatment reactor. This is the SAF project with the largest capacity under construction nationwide. The pre-treatment reactor unit to be lifted this time is 76 meters in height and weighs over a thousand tons, requiring extremely high precision in lifting as well as strict safety controls. The hoisting team from Shaanxi Chemical Construction held expert review meetings in advance to refine the hoisting construction plan and optimize the assembly procedures for the crawler cranes, thereby significantly reducing the assembly time. Meanwhile, during the subgrade treatment work carried out using a 3,200-ton crawler crane, the lifting team employed the CFG pile method for foundation treatment to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations. During construction, they employed a single-machine lifting and delivery method, with a 3,200-ton crawler crane used for the main lifting and a 900-ton crawler crane for assisting with the lifting process. Two cranes work together to lift the reactor, transitioning the equipment from a horizontal to a vertical position. Subsequently, the 900-ton crawler crane released the hook, while the 3200-ton crawler crane lifted the equipment, moved it while carrying the load, rotated it, and lowered the hook, allowing the equipment to be placed precisely in position. To date, the lifting team from Shaanxi Chemical Construction has successfully completed the lifting of 5 large-scale equipment units for this project, and the lifting of the remaining equipment is progressing in an orderly manner. By relying on their strong capabilities, they ensure the achievement of the project’s lifting objectives, demonstrating the commitment and professionalism of the Chemical Construction team. It is reported that Junheng Industry’s 1 million tons per year project for processing waste oils into sustainable aviation fuel is located in the Puyang Industrial Park in Henan Province. Building on Junheng Bio’s existing production capacity of 300,000 tons per year of sustainable aviation fuel, this project has been expanded at an investment of 3.146 billion yuan to achieve a production capacity of 1 million tons per year. It is the largest SAF production project under construction in China, as well as a **model project for advanced green and low-carbon technologies.
