The new installation in our factory includes several heating furnaces. After they were installed, they were inspected by the boiler inspection agency, which stated that there were no automatic ignition or shutdown systems in place and requested that such systems be installed. Are automatic ignition and shutdown systems really necessary? Are there any standards in this area?

The tubular furnaces produced by our company have not undergone boiler inspections, unless they are classified as heat transfer furnace types

I guess it’s a combustion furnace that burns natural gas or gas, not a pressure vessel; that’s why the inspection agency requires this device. It’s also quite simple; just spend some money and buy a few sets.
Tubular furnaces are not inspected by national testing institutions; what’s important is ensuring safe production, and flame detection, fuel inspection, and pressure protection are all crucial.
