The largest diameter of heat pipes I have worked on is 89 mm, while the smallest diameter is 5 mm. Their length ranges from a maximum of 12 m to a minimum of 150 mm. I’ve heard that heat pipes over 30 meters in length are used in the oil pipelines in Alaska.
