Dear teachers, our facility has hot water at 110°C with a capacity of 70 t/h, as well as other heat sources in the form of air compressors with a power of 300 KW. Could you please suggest some methods for recovering this thermal energy? Thank you!
For hot water at 110°C, a flash boiler can be considered to recover steam (around 3 KG/CM2). As for other suggestions, it depends on whether there are other elements in your process that need to be heated...
It can be used as a heat source for the light-component bottom reboiler; the heat from the air compressor can be utilized to heat process water or for heating in winter
If you need steam, you can absorb some low-quality steam, while the rest can be used for water-to-water heat exchange or steam-to-water heat exchange.
