When performing heat exchange design, I encounter situations where the outlet temperature of the fluid on the hot side or cold side is unknown. I would like to ask what methods can be used to obtain an accurate calculation of this outlet temperature. Thank you

According to Q=GCΔt, the temperature difference can be determined by dividing the heat transfer rate by the product of the mass flow rate and the specific heat capacity at constant pressure; thereafter, the outlet temperature can be calculated using the inlet temperature
This isn’t a problem at all, because it is part of the basic functionality of heat exchanger design.
I am aware of this; it’s just that when the exit temperature is unknown, how can the specific heat at constant pressure be estimated, and how should the values obtained from such estimation be taken into account in heat transfer calculations? Due to a lack of experience and only having theoretical knowledge, I would appreciate your guidance.

You specified: 2 flow rates, 3 temperatures, and the other outlet temperature is calculated through heat balance. II. Heat exchanger design and manufacturing: Once the outlet temperature is determined, we then design a heat exchanger that is capable of reaching this temperature (as specified in the design requirements). Even though you have set the outlet temperature, your heat exchanger design is inaccurate: by relying on K-value tables, guessing, or getting information through phone calls, a heat exchanger manufactured in this way may not achieve the outlet temperature specified in the design.
