Does anyone know what roughness level of flange surfaces metal wound gaskets are suitable for? Currently, the flange surfaces of the equipment used in this project are smooth; we plan to use metal wound gaskets to achieve sealing, but the client wants us to confirm whether such gaskets are suitable for those flange surfaces.
No problem; for convex or flat flanges, use wound gaskets with positioning rings, or wound gaskets with inner rings and positioning rings (for pipeline flanges, use wound gaskets in accordance with JB/T 90-2015)； For raised or fully flat flanges, use wound gaskets with centering rings, or wound gaskets with inner rings and centering rings (wound gaskets for steel piping flanges: HG/T20610-2009, HG/T20631-2009)
