1. Technical Background In recent years, **the economy has developed rapidly, and the areas dedicated to beet and sugarcane cultivation have been expanding continuously. Many small and medium-sized sugar manufacturers in the country need to increase their production volume in order to process the output of beets and sugarcane, balance the amount grown of these crops with the capacity to produce sugar products, and avoid extending the sugar-canning season; this is done in order to meet the established requirements for energy savings and reduced consumption. Built on the foundation of the existing evaporation system, the workshop is compactly designed with no space for expanding the tubular evaporation tanks. Plate evaporators are compact in size, possess high evaporation capacity (about 1.9 times that of evaporators with the same area), and are easy to install and maintain. It is possible to determine the appropriate number of plates to be added to each stage based on the evaporation efficiency and steam extraction volume after expansion; thus, the evaporation area for each stage can be adjusted as needed. These advantages make them extremely useful for expansion-based production, fully meeting the requirements of such production methods. 2. Application areas: Sugar production from sugarcane; Sugar production from beets. 3. Process principles: Series process (capacity enhancement); Parallel process (efficiency improvement). 4. Actual application results: Beet sugar factories: The original total sugar extraction capacity of these factories was 3,350 tons per day, with a syrup specific gravity of 50BX. A parallel plate evaporator process is used before the Stage III evaporation tank, achieving a consistency of 65BX. Sugarcane sugar factory: The total crushing capacity of the first and second lines of this sugarcane sugar factory is 10,000 tons per day. A series of plate evaporators are used in front of the Stage I and Stage III evaporation tanks, achieving a total extraction capacity of 13,000 tons per day. 5. Description of expansion equipment
