From resolving the issues remaining in Qinghai to overall management of the Honghua project, from on-site services to project management; The role has changed, and many difficulties were encountered, but with the strong support of leaders and colleagues, they were successfully overcome. What was gained was mainly growth and progress; I believe these experiences will surely guide me to better face and take on future challenges. Here, I would like to provide a summary of my work in 2014. Phase 1: First half of 2014 – After-sales service for the medium-pressure project and Dongping project in the Qinghai oil field. Tasks: 1. Prepare operation records for the equipment, and keep track of the performance of the medium-pressure and Dongping units; when issues arise, organize discussions among relevant personnel to develop solutions and provide answers to the client. 2. In accordance with the owner’s requirements, various professionals were assembled to discuss possible solutions for the misting nozzles, and the final solution was determined: replace the misting nozzles and modify the pipelines on site. 3. Technical support for cleaning fouling on Dongping coil heat exchangers during business trips in Qinghai ; Ø Resolution of after-sales issues for shut-off valves, transmitters, level gauges, etc. at Dongping ; Ø Record of the medium-pressure treatment unit operating at full capacity for 72 hours; it was concluded that the increasing temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of Unit #4 was mainly due to the presence of benzene-like substances in the incoming gas, and this issue was discussed with various specialists ; Ø Inlet shut-off valve for medium-pressure treatment units, as well as resolution of after-sales issues related to compressors, etc. Work summary and reflections: This task helped me build up my knowledge and experience in electrical instrumentation. Especially during the business trip to Qinghai, I went there with new colleagues; in addition to carrying out my own duties, I was also responsible for guiding them, which posed certain pressures. Yet I managed to see it through, and I was able to bring back information such as PID settings that could be used in future projects, serving as an example for the new colleagues. However, the overall workload at this stage is not high, and there is little technical complexity involved; it does not lead to any substantial improvement in an individual’s technical skills, nor does it have a significant impact on the company. The focus is more on completing tasks effectively. Therefore, in future work, it is necessary to be more proactive and set higher goals. II. Mechanical technical support for bidding projects: u Job responsibilities: 1. Provide mechanical technical support for the bid related to the three-phase separator in Colombia, and explain the owner’s specifications for pressure vessels (including heat exchangers) in the Sudan project. 2. Generate material lists for bidding on the 300,000 cubic meter project at the Qinghai oil field; evaluate the renovation plan for the Dongping coil heat exchangers, prepare purchase data sheets, and assist the department manager in related tasks. Work summary and reflections: The owner’s specifications for the Sudan project are in English and require compliance with ASME standards; therefore, this presents a significant challenge in terms of technical skills and language proficiency, but it also helps to broaden one’s perspective ; The evaluation of the renovation plan for the Dongping coiled-tube heat exchanger reinforced the basic knowledge of heat exchangers as well as the knowledge related to heat exchange processes in this field. However, there is still insufficient interaction in this area, and no efforts have been made to overcome the significant technical challenges associated with foreign projects; as a result, it is difficult to delve into more advanced technologies, which hinders progress. In future work, it is necessary to engage more with foreign projects and seek advice from professionals in order to improve these skills as soon as possible. Phase 2: Second half of 2014 I. Design and procurement management for the Ganghua TEG dewatering project u Task responsibilities: 1. Take on the Ganghua TEG dewatering project from the Yantai Engineering Division, submit the bidding process plan to the Tianjin office, and discuss with Yantai Natural Gas Company to determine the respective responsibilities of each party. 2. Discuss and develop project implementation strategies, including unified project regulations, the main project plan, project structure, and other preliminary documents. 3. Re-discuss and finalize the process plan, streamline the procurement process with the Yantai Supply Department, and submit the process-related technical drawings for review. Work summary and reflections: Tasks such as formulating project implementation strategies, finalizing the process design, determining the layout of the units, and working with the procurement department to streamline the purchasing process all required decision-making. For someone with limited experience who is taking on the role of project leader for the first time, this was indeed challenging. However, challenges bring opportunities; by facing difficulties head-on and persevering, progress can be made. On a personal level, it was a period of rapid growth in terms of experience and management skills, and it also helped to hone my abilities. However, the success of a project depends to a large extent on its preliminary planning. The preliminary planning for the Honghua project is far from adequate; issues such as progress control, quality control, and personnel allocation were not considered thoroughly enough at the initial stage. A more forward-thinking approach and stronger communication skills are required. II. Second Technical Exchange Meeting for the Honghua Project and Structural Design tasks: 1. Participate in and chair the second technical exchange meeting for the Honghua Project, discuss with the client and relevant professionals the decision to move the purified gas separator outside the skid, and prepare a meeting minutes. 2. Considering that the layout plan for the skid blocks was changed at the second technical meeting, an application was submitted to the owner for a delivery delay, which was understood and approved by the owner. 3. Selection of the structural scheme for the Honghua project, along with structural design and drawing production. 4. Establish channels for technical communication among structure manufacturers, container manufacturers, and designers, and coordinate with the designers to address technical issues related to container and structure production. u Work summary and reflections: Ø I independently led the team to the second technical exchange meeting, and conducted detailed technical discussions with the client. Considering the changes in the skid layout plan, I managed to secure the client’s understanding and approval for the delay through communication. This experience significantly improved my leadership and communication skills, boosted my confidence in handling similar tasks in the future, and reinforced my commitment to the path I have chosen. However, the technical level is still insufficient, and performance under pressure remains poor; it is necessary to improve technical skills and the ability to handle problems flexibly. Ø Discussion and finalization of the structural design; drawings can be produced in a short time. This further enhances the ability to select structural solutions as well as the skill in drawing diagrams, and the fact that less time is required indicates that there is still room for further improvement. However, calculations regarding structural strength and relevant experience are still insufficient, and there is a need for significant improvement so that such solutions can be both practical and cost-effective. III. During the project construction phase, coordinate the resources of the owner, designer, supplier, and contractor. 1. Submit to the owner relevant drawings such as the pipeline layout sheet, overall layout diagram of the skid-mounted units, equipment arrangement diagrams, and diagrams showing the conditions of the equipment foundations, and obtain approval for the corresponding plans. 2. Coordinate with the design party to obtain technical clarifications regarding the purchased materials, and ensure technical compliance upon delivery. 3. Go to the Yantai headquarters to preside over the construction kickoff meeting, and coordinate the resources of the purchasing party and the production department to officially start work. 4. Coordinate various resources during the construction phase to ensure project quality and the achievement of schedule targets. u Work summary and reflections: Communicating with the client to confirm relevant drawing plans, coordinating with various related parties, and improving one’s own communication and coordination skills ; Hosting the groundbreaking ceremony improved my public speaking skills. However, communication and coordination are not always timely in some aspects, and certain resources still cannot be secured; it is necessary to improve leading by example as well as communication skills. IV. On-site technical services for the Honghua project: 1. Coordinate at the construction site to ensure that the supply department and the quality inspection department deliver materials in a timely manner, and arrange workers to carry out work promptly, so as to maintain the project schedule. 2. Inspect most aspects of the project; identify any issues such as quality problems promptly and have the construction workers make corrections to ensure the project’s quality. 3. For work that does not meet quality standards or materials that do not conform to design requirements, corrective actions will be carried out without charge and the items will be returned, in order to control project costs. Work summary and reflections: Coordinate resources from all parties in a timely manner to ensure project progress. In the event of construction quality issues or materials that do not meet the specified requirements, a \"0\" tolerance policy is implemented to maintain the overall quality of the project. Any requests for additional costs due to rework or materials that do not conform to design specifications are rejected to control costs. However, quality and cost control can only be achieved when there is sufficient time for the project. In cases where the project deadline is tight, more in-depth consideration is needed to effectively control quality and costs. Summary of the Honghua project operations: As of December 18, the reinstallation of the 1.5 million cubic meter pipeline system in the Honghua project has been completed, all control cabinets have been installed, and cable connections are in progress ; The reinstallation of the 500,000 cubic meter pipeline is nearly complete; all control cabinets have been installed and cable connections are in progress. It is expected that both sets of equipment will be fully set up by the end of the month. With the strong support of company leadership and colleagues, quality control is satisfactory, progress is kept within a reasonable range, costs are under control, and overall management is effective. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the leaders for their assistance and to all my colleagues for their support, which enabled the project to be completed successfully. Regarding the various issues that arise in the project, including the coordination between design and procurement as well as production, minor defects in the design, and errors during construction, a summary will be prepared later to help everyone improve. As 2014 comes to an end, I would like to use the phrase \"Someday we will ride the wind and break the waves; we’ll set our sails high and cross the vast ocean\" to express my feelings at this moment. The road ahead will still be difficult, but I believe that with the mutual support and assistance of all my colleagues, we can create a bright future. Finally, I wish the company steady progress in both the market and technology fields, and that I too can achieve greater goals and experience more growth.
