What is the current status of lean production management in the microelectric motor industry? As key components in the production of machinery and equipment, different motors emerge to meet various functional requirements. The increasingly fierce market competition is driving micro motor manufacturers to actively adopt lean production management methods in order to find effective ways to reduce costs. At present, in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta regions of China, micromotor manufacturers are under pressure due to rising human capital costs; many companies are attempting to shift the production of micromotors to less developed areas of the country, while lean production methods are still being explored. So what is the current status of lean production management in the micro motor industry? The market for micro motor sales is highly competitive. Therefore, various manufacturers focus on applying lean production management to improve productivity, seek ways to reduce costs, and enhance the competitiveness of their products. Without a good design plan, it is difficult to produce a high-quality final product, and without proper production processes and machinery, a good design plan cannot be implemented. Motor manufacturers need to rely on the technical capabilities of the machinery industry to produce products that are lightweight, high-quality, and efficient, while also reducing their physical footprint, minimizing the number of workers required, accelerating the production process, and cutting costs in order to meet customers’ demands as quickly as possible. At the current stage, the vast majority of motor manufacturers use rational equipment layout and assembly line production methods, while there is relatively little use of the \"cell manufacturing approach\" from lean production management. To improve productivity, many companies, in line with the call for \"China’s Manufacturing 2035,\" are using intelligent robots in the production of micro motors. For example, under the conditions of lean production in current manufacturing lines, intelligent robotic arms are used to ensure the transfer of handicrafts throughout the production process. A company has completed a new assembly plant for AC servo motors, and what sets this new plant apart is the use of advanced intelligent robots for assembling these motors. The total number of employees in the new factory is 75. 30 intelligent robots are used in the production lines for motor stator winding, impregnation, and painting; 18 intelligent robots are employed in the assembly and inspection lines. Over 60 intelligent robots are used in the production lines for all AC motor products. The monthly production volume of servo motors has increased from 16,000 units to 30,000 units, which results in maintenance costs related to these intelligent robots amounting to several million yuan per month. Summary: Regarding the production process and manufacturing methods for micro motors, it is generally believed that foreign countries are superior to China in this area. However, even among some foreign companies, the production line equipment is not necessarily of the highest quality. In foreign countries, due to the need for mass production of various types of micro motors with extremely high precision requirements, manual processing methods are still often used. The common definition abroad is that for products in quantities exceeding tens of millions, automatic production lines must be used for manufacturing, while for multi-product, mass production, the “cell production method” from lean production management is employed. The development trend of China’s electric motor industry urgently requires the use of lean production management methods suited to China’s national conditions in order to reduce costs, with the goal of improving efficiency, rather than simply copying practices from foreign companies.
