The following points should also be taken into account when installing the conveyor belt: ① When installing the conveyor belt, if the center distance between the two pulleys can be adjusted, first reduce this distance; after the belt is installed, restore the original center distance. If there is a tension pulley, first loosen it, then install the conveyor belt, and finally reinstall the tension pulley. ②When installing the synchronous belt on the pulley of the conveyor, be sure not to use excessive force or try to pry the belt with a screwdriver, in order to prevent invisible breaks from occurring in the tensile layer of the conveyor’s synchronous belt. When designing pulleys, a structure in which the two shafts can move closer to each other should be chosen; if this is not possible structurally, the conveyor belt and pulley should be mounted on the respective shafts together. ③The conveyor belt synchronous belt controls an appropriate initial tension. ④In the synchronous belt drive of conveyors, a high degree of parallelism between the axes of the two pulleys is required; otherwise, the conveyor’s synchronous belt may deviate from its path during operation, or even fall out of the pulleys. Non-parallel axes also cause uneven pressure, leading to premature wear of the teeth. ⑤The frame supporting the conveyor belt pulley must have sufficient stiffness; otherwise, the pulley will cause the two axes to become non-parallel during the operation of the combination lock.
