Belt conveyors are commonly used for conveying materials in various industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and electronics. It is capable of transporting materials horizontally, uphill, or in curves; it can also be combined with other conveying devices to form complex interlinked conveying systems for material transport. The common types of resistance in belt conveyors include the compressive resistance of the material, the resistance caused by the twisting of the material, the repeated bending resistance of the conveyor belt, the crushing resistance exerted by the conveyor belt on the idlers, and the motion resistance of the idlers. These resistances mainly occur along the conveyor route. 1. Smooth bearings of the belt conveyor motor: Since friction in the belt conveyor inevitably creates some resistance when transporting materials, especially when the prolonged operation of the conveyor leads to reduced smoothness in the machinery, it is necessary to lubricate various mechanical components, including the bearings and other parts, by applying oil. 2. Belt conveyor belt joining method: Use vulcanized joints for belt connections (available for both cold and hot methods); although they are more expensive, they have a longer service life (suitable for fixing belt conveyors). 3. Idler roller resistance of the belt conveyor: The rotational resistance of the idler rollers that are part of the conveyor accessories located next to the belt conveyor, along with the resistance associated with the movement of the conveyor itself, account for 50% of the total resistance of the entire conveyor system. The length of this conveyor system is 80 meters.
