The working capacity of a flexible conveyor can be determined by its main parameters, and when purchasing one, we also need to use these parameters to decide which type of machine to buy. The main parameters of a flexible conveyor are its conveying capacity, conveying speed, structural dimensions, conveying length, and inclination angle. Based on these four parameters, it is possible to determine the working capacity of such a flexible conveyor. Next, let’s take a look at what each of these parameters means. 1. Transport capacity of flexible conveyors: The transport capacity of flexible conveyors refers to the amount of material that can be transported per unit of time. When transporting bulk materials, it is calculated based on the mass or volume of material transported per hour ; When transporting finished items, it is calculated based on the number of items transported per hour. 2. Conveyor speed of flexible conveyors: Increasing the conveyor speed can improve the conveying capacity. When a flexible chain is used as the traction element and the conveying length is large, the conveying speed increases progressively. However, high-speed flexible conveyors require attention to issues such as vibration, noise, and starting/stopping. For flexible conveyors that use chains as the traction elements, the conveying speed should not be too high to prevent an increase in the power load. For flexible conveyors that carry out process operations simultaneously, the conveying speed should be determined in accordance with the requirements of the production process. 3. Dimensions of components in flexible conveying systems: The dimensions of components in flexible conveyors include the belt width, strip width, hopper volume, pipe diameter, and container size, among others. The dimensions of these components directly affect the conveying capacity of the flexible conveyor. 4. Conveying length and inclination angle of the flexible conveyor: The length of the conveying path and its inclination angle directly affect the total resistance of the flexible conveyor as well as the power required. When purchasing flexible conveyors, we also need to determine the specific model to buy based on these parameters, eliminating the need for trial and error.
