Conveyor belts are specifically used for transporting various types of goods such as boxes, bags, and pallets; they can handle materials with a high individual weight or withstand significant impact loads. When transporting small items using the interstitial gaps between rollers in a roller conveyor, it is necessary to use pallets for delivery. The main components of its conveyor consist of drive rollers, frames, supports, and driving mechanisms, allowing for large conveying capacities, high speeds, smooth operation, as well as the simultaneous sorted transportation of multiple product types. With the advancement of science and technology today, and the application of roller conveyors in various economic sectors in China, production enterprises now generally opt to use such conveying equipment to improve their manufacturing processes. At the same time, roller conveyors can also have their conveying equipment components developed, designed, and manufactured to meet the requirements of automated material production as well as the various needs of logistics transportation. The design of a roller conveyor is very simple; it offers high safety and reliability in operation, and it is also easy to use and maintain during daily production activities. However, after prolonged material transport, certain problems arise that prevent the roller conveyor from functioning properly. Therefore, it is particularly important and urgent to be able to identify the source of these problems at such times. No machine can operate indefinitely; every machine is prone to malfunctions. Below, the editor has summarized several reasons why a roller conveyor may not function as intended. 1. Damage to the braking system of the roller conveyor, which prevents it from stopping properly ; 2. The braking command for the roller conveyor cannot be transmitted; this is usually due to a damaged braking switch ; 3. The power transmission system of the roller conveyor failed to cut off the power in a timely manner ; 4. Abnormal air pressure in the roller conveyor is usually indicated by air leaks or blockages in the air pipes ; 5. Loose friction belt on the roller conveyor or decrease in friction factors ; 6. The wiring method of the stator windings in the roller conveyor may be incorrect, and the insulation of the windings relative to the ground may have aged, resulting in excessive and unbalanced starting currents that generate loud noises; this in turn causes the protection devices to activate and cut off the power supply ; 7. Sometimes the drum emits loud noise and experiences localized heating. This is mainly because AC motors have low starting torque; they cannot start under load, and the motor stops running when the load increases ; 8. Another issue is that the AC motor of the roller conveyor lacks starting torque, cannot start when unloaded, and emits abnormal noises.
