Hi, your industrial control assistant is here! Have a great weekend everyone. A pleasant day calls for interesting little facts – today we’re looking at the different types of simple ultrasonic flowmeters. Make sure not to slouch while learning! 1. Handheld ultrasonic flow meter: small in size and light in weight, equipped with a rechargeable lithium battery, designed for handheld use and comes with a magnetic sensor. 2. Pipe-section ultrasonic flowmeter: It requires cutting the pipeline for installation, but maintenance can be carried out without shutting down operations. A mono or stereo sensor can be selected. 3. Insertion-type ultrasonic flow meter: A dedicated drilling device allows for installation without interrupting production. It is generally measured in mono; to improve measurement accuracy, stereo can be used. 4. External clamping ultrasonic flow meter: capable of both fixed and mobile measurements. Installation is carried out using a specialized coupling agent (room-temperature curing silicone rubber or high-temperature long-chain polymer grease), without damaging the pipelines during installation. 5. Portable ultrasonic flow meter: Designed for portability, it features a built-in rechargeable lithium battery and is suitable for mobile measurements; it can be connected to magnetic sensors. 6. Explosion-proof ultrasonic flow meter: Used for measuring liquid flow in explosive environments; it is both explosion-proof and intrinsically safe. That is, the converter is explosion-proof, while the sensor is intrinsically safe. 7. Flow measurement system: Composed of multiple ultrasonic flowmeters and the system master station. Suitable for centralized measurement of multiple pipelines. 8. Battery-powered ultrasonic flow meter: An integrated ultrasonic flow meter powered by a lithium battery. Suitable for use in areas without mains power; a single battery can last for ten years, and it features various measurement functions. 9. Ultrasonic calorimeter: Used for measuring heat in heating systems. The tubular ultrasonic flowmeter integrates the transducer and the measurement tube, solving a problem encountered in the measurement process with external-mounted flowmeters. Moreover, its measurement accuracy is also higher than that of other ultrasonic flowmeters, but this comes at the cost of the advantage of external ultrasonic flowmeters, which can be installed without interrupting flow; instead, it is necessary to cut the pipe in order to install the transducer. That’s it for now. Wishing everyone happiness forever. Hehe
