Enhance quality awareness and promote high-quality development. ----------------------------------------- On December 10, 2020, the EHA8400×78+4 titanium composite heads used in Formosa Plastics’ PTA project, manufactured by Shenzhou Head East China Base (Anhui Xinlianxin Head), passed the client’s inspection successfully, and were delivered after completion of all welding inspections. This head is the first product in this batch of large-diameter titanium composite heads, and it has received high praise from the customer and the on-site quality inspector in terms of process control, welding quality, geometric dimensions, and surface quality. The EHA8400×78+4 titanium composite head was manufactured through segmented forming and delivered with overall weld inspection; it represents the largest diameter head ever delivered by Shenzhou Head in its nearly 50-year history of operation. It is also the first large-diameter titanium composite head in the industry to be delivered with overall weld inspection. In the past, for the fabrication of large-diameter titanium composite heads, the industry practice was to form them in segments, pre-assemble them and then disassemble them, delivering them in those segments; it was the equipment manufacturers who would carry out the re-assembly, welding, and flaw detection. Through its differentiated services, this Heart-to-Heart head not only helped customers save nearly 20 days of preparation time associated with secondary assembly and the use of reinforcement fixtures, but more importantly, it also freed up space and production capacity for them, addressing their underlying needs.
