The general steps for maintaining high-performance pneumatic control valves are as follows: 1. Clean the outer surface of the valve; it can be thoroughly cleaned using compressed air or kerosene. 2. Inspect and record the valve’s nameplate, other markings, important information, etc. 3. Carefully remove each component of the valve in sequence. 4. Use kerosene when cleaning parts. 5. Carefully check each part for any defects. Use water pressure to test and check whether the valve body’s strength is normal ; Check the fit between the valve seat and the valve body, as well as between the closing element and the seal ring, and also conduct a tightness test ; Check for thread wear on the valve stem and valve stem bushing ; Inspect the sealing rings of the closing elements and valve body ; Inspect the valve cover surface and remove burrs ; Inspect the mating surfaces of the valve. 6. Repair high-performance pneumatic control valves. Welding to repair defects and replacing seals or cladding the sealing surface ; Conduct a tightness test on the valve body and the newly installed seals, as well as the junction between the surfacing metal and the valve body ; Trim the valve mating surface ; Grind the sealing surface. 7. Repair the closing parts. Welding to repair defects or cladding sealing rings ; Polish or grind the sealing surface. 8. Repair the packing chamber. Inspect and trim the packing chamber ; Trim the conical surfaces at the bottom of the gland and the packing chamber. 9. Replace parts that cannot be repaired. 10. After the maintenance of the pneumatic control valve is completed, assemble it. 11. Conduct a hydraulic pressure test on the entire pneumatic control valve. 12. Paint the surface of the pneumatic control valve and re-label it according to the previous records.
