The standards for the fault-free operation of belt conveyors include the following: (1) The conveyor belt operates without any noise. The noise from the motor and reducer is normal. (2) The conveyor belt of the belt conveyor shall have no breaks; horizontal cracks shall not exceed 5% of the belt width, the peeling of the protective layer shall not exceed 0.3 mm, and the damaged width of the intermediate fiber layer shall not exceed 5% of the belt width. (3) The power cable of the belt conveyor is properly connected and not loose. (4) The idler rollers of the belt conveyor are not broken, and the keys are not loose. The rubber layer of the roller with a rubber surface adheres tightly to the surface of the roller, allowing no delamination or cracking. (5) The support rollers of the belt conveyor are intact, rotate smoothly, produce no abnormal noises, and there is no paper jamming; oiling is carried out regularly. The wear amount of the rubber layer on the surface of the buffer roller shall not exceed 1/2 of its original thickness. (6) The main shaft box, tail stock, and tensioning device of the belt conveyor are free from welding and deformation. The tail seat skid shoes should be flat and tightly connected. (7) The intermediate frame of the belt conveyor is straight with no welding; the slings (the upper width should be greater than the lower width) are in good condition, and the frame is intact, reliable, and free from severe corrosion. (8) The belt conveyor joints are firmly and evenly clamped; the vulcanized joints show no cracks, blisters, or folded edges. (9) The conveyor belt of the belt conveyor does not slip during operation; the upper conveyor belt does not extend beyond the edges of the drums and idlers, and the lower conveyor belt does not rub against the frame. (10) The adjustment margin of the belt conveyor tensioning device shall be not less than 1/5 of the total adjustment range, and the telescopic traction trolley shall have a length of not less than 17 M. (11) The drive rod of the belt conveyor braking device is flexible and reliable; the shaft is not loose and free of oil. There is no oil on the surface of the brake wheels, and the hydraulic system does not leak oil either. (12) When the brake of the belt conveyor is released, the gap between the brake shoes shall not be greater than 2 mm ; During braking, the brake shoes and brake wheels make close contact; the effective contact area should not exceed 60% to ensure reliable braking. (13) The belt conveyor is equipped with comprehensive and sensitive, reliable protection devices for speed control, anti-slip functionality, alignment prevention, belt breakage detection, and full inventory detection. (14) When two or more belt conveyors are connected in series, interlock devices should be installed. Signal equipment should have both sound and light, and be clear and reliable. The above are some basic criteria for the fault-free operation of belt conveyors. Operators need to inspect the equipment before starting up, identify signs of faults promptly, and repair the belt conveyor equipment in a timely manner.
