I would like to ask whether a water seal tank is necessary for the acidic gas flare system. If it is required, what material should be used for it – white steel or something else? What are the precautions for starting up and shutting down this system?
Generally, in such applications, flame arresters are more commonly used to prevent backfire in acidic torches; this is because the use of water seal tanks would result in the continuous generation of acidic water, and dealing with this wastewater is rather troublesome.
