Centering is to accurately find the zero point of the workpiece to be processed. If the centering is not correct, it will lead to processing errors and even the workpiece will be scrapped. Therefore, proficiency in centering skills is an essential skill for every CNC operator. In the past, dial indicators (dial indicators) and centering rods were mainly used for centering, but the efficiency was low and the requirements for operators were high. Nowadays, COMP machine tool probes are used for marking. After the COMP machine tool probe is installed, start the measurement program. The probe will touch one point on each side of the workpiece in turn and record the mechanical coordinates of the current point. The machine tool system automatically calculates the center of the workpiece to ensure the correct processing zero point, thereby improving the accuracy of the workpiece.
