What should be done if the test specimens fail the inspection after being heat-treated in the same furnace?
Equipment that fails the test twice is scrapped
My intention was to ask what should be done with the equipment when the test samples fail; your answer was helpful to me. Thank you.
If the retest is also unsuccessful, then the container must undergo heat treatment again; this situation is extremely rare, and it’s possible that the equipment should be scrapped :(
Inspect the material, perform high-magnification metallographic analysis to identify the issues, and redo it twice; if it still fails, then there’s nothing more that can be done
