The proportions are roughly 180 kilograms of hydrofluoric acid, 300 kilograms of hydrochloric acid, and 100 kilograms of nitric acid. The material used must be able to withstand corrosion; the heat transfer coefficient depends mainly on the heating time. As long as it’s a metal material, there shouldn’t be any problems. For coiled tubes, use plastic tubes such as PFA/PVDF/PTFE. This liquid is similar to aqua regia, and almost no metal can withstand it. If using tube bundles, SIC tubes can be considered
Thank you, but 40% of my material consists of such components, and both pumping and mixing cause wear on the coating
I checked relevant information and didn’t find any mention of heating three types of acids together... It is recommended to use polymer coatings, use all plastic materials, or conduct metal corrosion tests instead
Try using Hastelloy 276 or C22; if that doesn’t work, give Hastelloy B3 a try.
