The project I’m working on now requires aluminum sulfate solution; I’ve never used it before, and my searches on Baidu didn’t help much. Does aluminum sulfate hydrolyze to produce sulfuric acid? So will my containers corrode if they are made of stainless steel or aluminum? The pump for pumping the aluminum sulfate solution has a PTFE diaphragm and a PVDF pump head, with UPVC pipes – is there any problem with that? Can the rubber used for gaskets in common UPVC valves be used? Can EPDM be used?
