The images below relate to oil depots and are part of areas classified as level 1 for fire and explosion prevention. Sandblasting for rust removal is not allowed at the steel structure painting site. However, it is required that a single coating last for more than 6 years; let’s see if there are any good materials that can meet this requirement.
For oil depots located in areas with Class 1 fire and explosion protection requirements, special coatings that are fire-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and durable must be used. Water-based epoxy fire-resistant coatings or solvent-free epoxy coatings can be considered.
