The poor covering power is due to the coating’s inability to effectively scatter/absorb light in order to conceal the color of the substrate. The main causes can be categorized into three types: defects in the paint formula (such as insufficient titanium dioxide or poor dispersion), errors in application (such as insufficient film thickness or inadequate mixing), and a large difference in substrate colors (such as a dark substrate with a light surface); targeted measures are required to address these issues.
