May I ask, when using HYSYS to simulate pipe segments, it is possible to set insulation for the outer surface, and the simulation will then show a successful result (indicated by a green color). However, in China, it is usually required to determine what maximum temperature the insulated outer surface should have. In such cases, can one see the temperature of the pipe’s outer surface after the simulation in HYSYS?
Pipesegment does not support this feature; I think using multiple tanks to simulate the heat dissipation of a pipe could be an option, so that the outer surface temperature can be determined
The surface temperature can be calculated inversely using the ambient temperature and heat loss.
