Dear experts, in this process a fixed-bed reactor is used with counterflow flow; how can this be simulated in Aspen?
By backflow, do you mean that the two reaction materials enter the reactor from the top and bottom? I don’t know much about such counterflow operations at the moment, as they do not allow the two reactants to come into sufficient contact, thereby preventing an increase in the reaction rate. You can describe the specific reaction process here. At the same time, the Aspen simulator has limited capabilities for such reactions, so it is recommended to use MATLAB for solving them.
