How to avoid making repeated basic mistakes

Today’s business exam was the first one after my recent role change. While answering the questions, I forgot to include details such as shortcuts and various pipelines, even though I was aware of the standard procedures for that position. I had warned myself not to make such basic mistakes, but I still did it today. Has anyone else experienced something similar? How to avoid making such basic mistakes repeatedly
Take a notebook to write it down; look at it when you need it to remind yourself!
It’s enough if you have a mindset of being strict with yourself! Don’t be too hard on yourself! Be as humble as a valley!
