Hao Shengyong, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, announced the commencement of construction on the technical upgrade project for Xiangyun Shares’ plant, which aims to produce 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year. In his speech, Mayor Li Xinqiao said that the construction of Xiangyun’s technical upgrade project to produce 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year is not only important for the development of Xiangyun itself but also a significant factor in the economic growth of Wuque. In recent years, under the leadership of Comrade Hu Huawen, Xiangyun Co., Ltd. has continued to accelerate its development pace, striving to strengthen and expand the company, and has achieved good economic results. From January to September 2017, Xiangyun Shares achieved an industrial production value of 7.5 billion yuan. Among these achievements, the value of foreign trade exports reached 156 million US dollars, and the export volume of phosphate fertilizers amounted to 560,000 tons; thus, the company once again became the first enterprise in Huanggang City to achieve foreign exchange earnings of over 100 million US dollars. Li Xinqiao emphasized that the city’s relevant functional departments should proceed from the overall goal of strengthening and developing the city through industry, pay attention to the development of Xiangyun, and provide support for it; they should treat the development of Xiangyun as a major task for the entire city ； It is necessary to adopt a perspective that views the development of Wuque through the lens of Xiangyun, and sees Xiangyun’s development as contributing to Wuque’s progress. We should actively assist enterprises in overcoming various challenges encountered during project construction, strive to create favorable conditions for such projects, and provide proactive, high-quality, and efficient service to ensure that projects are completed and put into operation on schedule. The Xiangyun Co., Ltd. project to produce 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year is a key initiative for the company to implement its 13th Five-Year strategic development plan. The total investment in this project is 1.8 billion yuan, and it covers an area of 450 mu. Completion and operation are scheduled for October 1, 2019, as a gift to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the country with outstanding achievements. This project utilizes a new type of multi-nozzle water-coal slurry high-pressure gasification technology, achieving a carbon conversion rate of 99% ； By adopting internationally advanced coal purification and utilization technologies, the dry-basis content of the effective gas exported reaches 89%, **reducing energy consumption in subsequent processing stages. The air separation unit is planned to adopt international technology, featuring an integrated cryogenic tank that offers low energy consumption and is safe and reliable. Gas purification employs low-temperature methanol washing and liquid nitrogen washing technologies, which are energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Once operational, this project will not only cover the company’s annual demand of 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, addressing the issues of high costs associated with its procurement and the high risks involved in its transportation, but it is also expected to generate an annual profit of 200 million yuan. It will provide 350 job opportunities for technical professionals and 200 additional job opportunities in other fields.
