Several units for the semi-aqueous phosphoric acid process are in operation in China, and all of them use belt filters; why aren’t rotary table filters chosen?
Purchasing costs, operating expenses, maintenance costs, and floor space are all relevant factors.
Compared with tilting disc filters and rotary table filters, belt filters result in the smallest reduction in the concentration of phosphoric acid after filtration, and both sides of the filter cloth are cleaned more thoroughly. Is that the reason?
