Orchid Coal Chemical Industry Holds a Symposium to Advance the Construction of the Gas Generation Island Project Author/Source: Orchid Newspaper Date: 2020-08-18 Clicks: 14 On August 14, Na Zhimao, member of the municipal Party committee, secretary of the municipal discipline inspection commission, and head of the municipal supervision commission, visited for the fifth time the site of the gasification upgrade project in Bagong Park, which is one of the key provincial and municipal projects under his oversight, to assess the progress of the construction work. A symposium was then held in the meeting room of Orchid Coal Chemical Industry. Zhang Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Zezhou County Party Committee and County Head, along with leaders from relevant departments directly under the city government, accompanied him on the inspection. Wu Ruijun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, Li Xiaoming, Chairman and General Manager of the joint-stock company, and Gao Kaibo, Secretary of the Group’s Discipline Inspection Commission and Ombudsman, attended the meeting. At the meeting, Wu Ruijun gave a detailed report on the construction of the \"Gas Production Island\" project, whose share transfer was completed on July 16. At present, the project is being constructed solely by Orchid Innovation Company, whose name has been changed to Shanxi Orchid Gas Co., Ltd. Since May, when Tianze Group expressed its intention to withdraw from the project and it became clear that the land required for agricultural use could not be acquired at that time, work has begun on reconducting the feasibility studies, various preliminary evaluations, and initial design for the project using the additional 545 mu of land. However, this will result in a delay in the overall construction timeline of at least half a year. In the future, project development will focus on coordinated planning, tapping internal strengths, and catching up to make up for the lost time, ensuring that the projects are put into operation and start delivering results as soon as possible. At the symposium, Na Shimoo first affirmed the progress of construction on the \"Gas Production Island\" project, and requested that the relevant municipal departments, the municipal economic development zone, Zezhou County, and Bagong Town address one by one all the issues that arise during the project’s implementation, including the need to adjust the overall planning scope for the project’s location within the Bagong Chemical Park and to re-evaluate the safety risk assessment level of that park. Na Shizhao emphasized that the gasification upgrade project in Bagong Park is a significant measure taken by the municipal party committee and government to promote high-quality transformation and development of the industrial sector, and it serves as an important model for driving the transformation of the coal chemical industry. All departments at all levels must raise their political awareness, firmly establish a sense of the overall situation and a service-oriented mindset, take proactive steps in carrying out their work, make full use of available policies, and effectively help address the difficulties and problems that arise during project construction. They must go all out to ensure the smooth progress of the projects, so that they can be completed and put into use as soon as possible, thereby enabling benefits to be realized at the earliest opportunity.
