Due to gas supply restrictions during winter, all the major gas-based production facilities in this region are shut down for maintenance, with production expected to resume in March 2021. The prevailing transaction price in Linfen, Shanxi has dropped to 2140–2180 yuan per ton, ex-warehouse and in cash payment ； The online price in the Changzhi area is 2,170 yuan per ton, with cash payment required at delivery ； The prevailing transaction price in the Jincheng area has stabilized at 2,200 yuan per ton, ex-warehouse and in cash. The methanol market in Henan is experiencing fluctuations; the futures market dropped sharply during the night session, affecting the sentiment of traders in the spot market. The selling price of Henan Zhongxin’s bid products dropped by 15–20 yuan per ton compared to January 11, with the final transaction price at 2230 yuan per ton. Other companies offered higher prices; the actual ex-factory price ranges from 2230 to 2270 yuan per ton ； Quotations in the Luoyang market refer to around 2,230–2,250 yuan per ton. The prevailing reference price for methanol in the Anhui region is 2,330–2,370 yuan per ton upon acceptance and delivery; trading activity in the local market is satisfactory, and manufacturers are offering stable prices without any pressure due to inventory issues. In the Two Lakes region, methanol market bids have declined, with cautious buying interest and demand driven mainly by essential needs. The quotes from the key enterprises in Hubei have been reduced, while those from other enterprises remain stable; the actual ex-factory price is around 2400–2450 yuan per ton ； Affected by the decline in prices in surrounding areas, the bidding price in the Hunan market has dropped to around 2,550–2,560 yuan per ton. Negotiations in the methanol market in Fujian are limited; there are few spot offers from the major storage areas in Quanzhou and Xiamen. The price is around 2590–2600 yuan per ton, including taxes, at the time of delivery from the storage facilities. Sellers holding inventory have firm pricing positions, and overall market activity is weak.
