In all these cases, there is a risk of ammonia loss, especially in the carbonization process. If the operations are not carried out properly, it can have a significant impact on the ammonia production during that shift.
The ammonia production is affected by many factors: 1 the gas composition of the feed gas; 2 the system circulation volume; 3 catalyst activity; 4 temperature and pressure; 5 the liquid level in the ammonia separator also has an impact. If the liquid level is high, the separation of ammonia is poor or the gas contains ammonia, resulting in a high ammonia concentration at the inlet of the synthesis tower, which affects the ammonia reaction and thereby reduces ammonia production
