Project Overview: The methanol-to-olefins unit at Shandong Yangmei Hengtong Chemical Co., Ltd. generates C4+ as a by-product, which is currently sold as a by-product, resulting in the waste of a large amount of olefin resources. This project involves an investment of 98 million yuan to build an olefin cracking unit (OCP) in the western chemical area, so as to comprehensively utilize the C4+ produced by the methanol-to-olefins unit and crack it into ethylene and propylene. Once completed, the project will be able to produce 55,274.5 tons of cracked gas per year, which can be reused in the methanol-to-olefins unit. This improves the carbon utilization rate of methanol and the olefin yield; the consumption of methanol per ton of olefins will decrease from 2.93 tons to 2.68 tons per ton of olefins. Upon completion, the project is expected to save 40 million yuan in costs annually.
