Clicks: 4. On December 16, the replacement of the refractory materials in the second-stage conversion furnace of the synthesis unit progressed smoothly. To date, over 50 tons of catalyst have been unloaded and the arch structure has been removed; the removal of the fire-resistant walls is currently in progress. The two-stage furnace is an important piece of equipment for the operation of synthesis plants, and its refractory materials have reached the end of their useful life, which limits the quality of the plant’s operation. Taking advantage of the maintenance period, the company specially invited a professional company to replace the refractory materials in the second-stage furnace. The replacement of refractory materials is a complex process that takes a long time to complete; it is a key task during the major overhaul of this synthesis unit. Failure to finish it on time will affect the commissioning date of the large-scale fertilizer production facility. The synthesis workshop attached great importance to this task and organized it carefully; it developed a detailed construction plan along with a schedule outlining the sequence of tasks, and assigned dedicated personnel to oversee the process and coordinate efforts to ensure that the replacement of refractory materials was successful from the first attempt.
